Health Food that Fit your Budget in Oman

Oman is a mix bag of the Middle Eastern culture and influence. Known for its business and commercial areas and increasing influx of immigrants populations its food culture has been heavily infused with a cross-culture flavour. Omani food fare sees a heavy influence and inclination toward Lebanese and Indian cuisines. However, it's food culture has remained quite tightly knit to traditionalism and affordability. They say, Oman eats to live and not the reverse phenomenon more popular amongst food loving countries.

The Omani cuisine is a mélange Lebanese food and South Asian food. While its ingredients and food features are more sourced from the Lebanese fare like hummus and pita bread, it's curries draw Indian and Pakistani flavours and essences. For instance, even a Masala beef curry would be served with pita bread and hummus as accompaniments while in Oman. Their staples constitute the classic meat biryani and shwarma. A trip to Oman will definitely appeal your tastebuds initially but you might not be able to withstand the stark and strong flavours and heavy to digest meats for a long time. This is the when most tourists and even locals start looking for healthy food that is light, easy to digest and fresh. While local cafes brick the food landscape in Oman, it is still coming to terms with fast food joints. One such joint that has been greeted with enthusiasm is Chowking.

Chowking  is a Philippines based Chinese fast food joint that is located at strategic commercial points across Oman. While it offer dine-in and done outs too, it also offers online food services. Highly popular and revered for its authentic taste of local Chinese food Chowking has been making their cuisine popular across the narrow by lanes of Omani food world.

Two reasons make Chowking UAE and Chowking Oman a popular choice when locals want to dine-out and when tourists are looking for a quick bite. One, it offer really healthy options within the Chinese cuisine. This kind of fresh and healthy food is often craved after a heavy eating session of the local Omani food. This ensures quality, taste, and freshness. Of course, it also provides the essentialSecondly, the fact that it is easily accessible and highly affordable is another good reason underlying Chowking's fast paced growth in Oman.

To elaborate, Chowking sources it ingredients on a daily basis and make it fresh, only based on orders. It does not use pre-cooked ingredients. The flavour and the aromas are proof of its promise to deliver freshest delicacies.
Chowking offers combo packs for food that can help you grab a grub with a light pocket. At the same time it also offers greatly priced food with the help of immaculate staff and service quality. No scope for complaints right?

While Oman is still opening its doors to international cuisines Chowking's promise of fresh, natural, healthy and tantalising food is here for all health conscious local Omanis and tourists wanting a switch from the biryanis and the shwarmas!

Dubai Budget Trip: Where to Eat In Dubai

Erstwhile Dubai was a turf of the rich and the illustrious. Consequentially, today the Dubai skyline screams of opulence, glamour and wealth. Currently, Dubai has changed; it is now a hub of a large multi-cultural populace. People from various races, creeds and nationalities have made Dubai their home. Dubai is for all, in today’s times. While Deira holds the fortress of old Dubai, new Dubai is sketched on the tall mirrored towers, literally scraping the sky. Yes, while on one side you have the Burj Al Arab bestowing great luxury on its travellers Dubai can be a budget destination too. While the succulent meats of Dubai’s posh eateries make way to the hearts of the elite, Dubai folds-up as a great budget culinary abode too.

While on a budget-trip to Dubai most tourists are looking out for a daily grub maker, a hygienic restaurant they can run to at all times for a delicious, budget-friendly meal. In order to fit the bill of the budget traveller’s demand certain preconditions need to be satisfied. Namely, the joint should be available at almost every nook and corner; it should be hygienic, should cook up fresh meals at all times of the day and should be traveller-friendly, of course, while being light on the pocket of the economical explorer. After much rummaging through the Dubai’s highways and by-lanes Chowking UAE was discovered to be one such joint in Dubai that placates all the prerequisites of a great budget restaurant.

Chowking is a Philippines-based Chinese restaurant that has its presence across the length and breadth of Dubai, old and new. They take extraordinary care of their kitchen and maintain A-starred sanitized conditions to offer the cleanest platter for the taste buds. The ultra-selling point of Chowking is its ability to stir up fresh meals requested from the menu. Stale food is a no-no with Chowking. While locals love taking dine-outs from Chowking, travellers can find comfort in Chowking’s organized seating and impeccable staff. They value their customers, be it a tourist or a local!

Coming to the most crucial factor affecting the budget-traveller, the cost! Chowking has been doing exceptionally well not only due to the aforementioned factors but due the quintessential factor of pricing. Costing at Chowking has been a differentiating factor dictating its success so far. It offers meals starting from as low as AED 7 to as while it’s high AED 125 being a pretty low as well for a super-fresh, heavy and hearty meal for two people. This makes it is preferred choice as a budget-eatery of Dubai.

While Chinese food is its mainstay some Indonesian and Malaysian recipes for selection leaves one spoilt for choice. Chowking has excelled so far and continues to be one of the most loved restaurants for tourists. Professionals love lunching at Chowking due to its location-advantage in most commercial areas through Dubai. They even have kiosks at essential points in malls and viable hubs. Best Budget friendly Chinese Restaurant in Sharjah

While Dubai is known for its glitz and glamour with a certain degree of candidness Sharjah its neighbor quietly speaks of the originality of the Arab world. The two cities are poles apart in the way they were created, the way they operate; socially and economically and the way their administration is achieved. Sharjah makes the tourist uphold and respect many traditions in Sharjah while its exciting neighbor Dubai loves it when their tourists enjoy the new Marina Walks or the Deira area. Sharjah on the end of the spectrum has a great affection for its citizens and believes in stronger cultural root binding. However, one thing that binds these two neighbors is their love for great food. The Arabs not only love eating but love sharing their food as well.

Culinary experience in and around show that like Dubai and Abu Dhabi even Sharjah has opened up to different cuisines from diverse regions due to the proliferation of the multi-lingual and multi-cultural population. While traditional Sharjah food fare is still the best and most authentic for tourists to lay their hands on but mushrooming new cuisines and new fast-food chains are making fresher gastronomies more available to all, locals and tourists.

One such fantastic budget friendly Chinese restaurant in Sharjah is Chowking. Top of the line in a world of burgeoning fast food chains, this is a Philippines based fast food chain that stirs-up some mouthwatering delicacies of Philippines, Chinese and Indonesian origins.

Banking on the nurturing taste buds of conservative Arab world of Sharjah this little chain has been doing well for itself. Located in accessible malls and commercial areas across Sharjah it offers the best in the league authentic Chinese food at affordable rates that could make a great meal for a local family desiring a different platter while making it a perfect soiree for a tourist scouting for a budget-easy meal.

The most recommended dishes based on analysis of client orders are Chicharap, Hakka noodles and Manchurian, lemon rice and tom yum soup. The famous recipes also include the Dimsum platter and the Nasi Goreng. Their seafood section and their selection of fresh meats make the best non-vegetarian Chinese food for the meat loving Arab of Sharjah.

What makes Chowking UAE holler deliciousness is the specially sourced fresh ingredients with which each dish is made on order alone. No dish seems to be prepared in advance making sure you get the choicest meal in the freshest way possible. Chowking offers wholesome Chinese food at great prices that suit each pocket-size. What makes it a bigger delight is the wonderful staff that serves up the delicacies effortlessly not leaving and scope for complains. The accessibility of Chowking restaurants and kiosks makes it easy for diners to grab a take-away, or dine-in. Chowking also serves-up online through their website.

Gone are the days when global cuisines were a luxury. Now even the most traditional societies are open to more universal cookeries just like magnificent Sharjah.

Top 5 places to Eat in Dubai

Dubai has emerged as a global city and a business hub of the Middle East. It is also a melting pot of cultures and nationalities from around the world. It is because of this cosmopolitan nature that Dubai stands out as a great culinary destination for food lovers. Dubai serves some of the most amazing, culturally rich and international cuisines palatable to different taste buds. I found restaurants that could guzzle away your dirhams in one single meal while eateries that serve absolutely delicious food and are value for money too. So, let me list down some of Dubai’s most popular & budget-friendly restaurants that I visited and strongly recommend you to visit in Dubai!

Chowking

Looking to satisfy your Chinese craving? If yes, then try Chowking UAE. My experience with Chowking has been fantastic. Found at almost every nook and corner across Dubai, Chowking is one of the best Chinese restaurants in Dubai. Originally from Philippines, it is most popular for its seafood and authentic Chinese food. The food is delicious and fresh. Try the fried Calamari for appetizers while the vegetarians can dig in to vegetarian spring rolls. The prawn hakka and the noodle soup are a must-try. Check for the availability of Chicken-of-the-grill, I highly recommend it.  It offers great options for vegetarians as well. Prompt and on-time service, light on the pocket and easily accessible with tons of great food options makes it my favorite Chineserestaurant in Dubai. You will not have to squabble for placing your order or waste time to pay the final bill; the service is immaculate and friendly.

Ravi Restaurant

Ravi is one of the most popular restaurants for South Asian food like Indian and Pakistani curries. Not so fancy and posh, Ravi offers good and reasonably priced food amidst the chaos of the local street of Satwa Dubai. I highly recommend chicken tikka, aloo paratha, chicken achari and chicken ginger. For the vegetarians any dal or vegetable is suggested. Sitting amidst the crowded Satwa street and hearing the conundrum gets you closer to the local culture. It is a highly recommended for lovers of traditional Pakistani food.

Sheikh Mohammed Centre for Cultural Understanding

Looking for authentic Arab fare? The cultural center is a good mix of ethos, tradition and experience with its old-style Arab breakfast. Found in the quaint little setting of the culturally rich Bastakia, this center hosts a wonderful breakfast that I indulged in. Breakfast is offered in the traditional Arab way, seated down on low chairs. Chickpeas, balaleet, spice bread, Igmeit, cream cheese, with camel milk and date syrup for beverages give you a complete experience of typical Arabic breakfast. Tea & Arabic coffee goes perfect with this sort of a meal. Nothing better to soak in the local culture!

Pars Iranian Restaurant

Iranian cuisine has a strong influence on the food culture of Dubai. Pars was a perfect eatery to try some great Iranian dishes. Located in Satwa, Pars is mainly known for its delicious juicy meat kebabs, salads and spreads. A must try are the titillating lemony prawns and grilled hammour. This eatery is not recommended for vegetarians as the food basket is twisted towards the meaty skewer where non-vegetarian gastronomy mingles with Iranian flavors to entice your taste buds.

Pachanga

American and Latin-American cuisine is not really difficult to find in Dubai. I went to Pachanga with an American friend. The eatery is divided into sections for different cuisines like Mexico, Argentina, Brazil and Cuba. Well-kept and great food like aged meats and an abundant range of drinks and fabulous music keeps you upbeat. Though located in Hilton Dubai, it is not very expensive and the fabulous food justifies every penny spent.

These are just some of the many diners I loved and highly recommend. Food gets even better when competition is rife, Dubai is a proof!

Where to Find the Best Chinese Food in Dubai

I fondly remember Dubai as the land of spices, gold and all things really nice. My memories of Dubai reminisce of modernity of the posh Dubai Marina and the traditional Deira area of saffron, Arab herbs and the gold souk. While I saw the tall Khalifa surrounded by clouds at the top, it also screamed of opulence of a thousand luxury brands in the beautiful Dubai mall located at its base. I noticed that Dubai has accommodated one and all, the penniless traveller and the luxury lover, a global pot pourri! You will find great deals on rented apartments for your stay and a whole lot of world cuisines in your budget around you in Dubai, be it old Dubai or new. There is no dearth of great food, dine-ins to eat-outs. In fact, I think Dubai holds every possible food chain and restaurant of every cuisine known to the world. But I love Chinese food and I want to eat Chinese once every week no matter where I go. So out I was on the roads of Dubai skimming through some fanciful options for the best Chinese food in Dubai.

Searching, scanning and panting our group was tired of walking on beach next to JBR and were craving for a Chinese meal. We spotted Chowking Orient Restaurant on JBR (Jumeirah Beach Residence) walk and immediately walked in. I was delighted at the prompt service. The food was awesome too. I tried the main specialities Chowking UAE is known for, like the noodle soup, bangus, dim sums and my favorite Nasi Goreng. I loved lemon chicken too.

We were a large group of people so we could order a lot of dishes. Some of my friends were vegetarians and had been unsuccessful at finding good vegetarian Chinese. They heaved a sigh of relief seeing some fantastic vegetarian options on the Chowking menu. We ordered spring rolls and tofu as appetizers that were bursting with flavors. Main course had some good options in noodles, rice and vegetables in sweet and sour sauce.

After having a hearty meal amidst a fun, casual ambience I realized we hardly looked at the cost of the dishes before ordering them. But to my surprise Chowking did not disappoint at all. After checking online, I have figured out that I need not go as far as JBR; they have many branches around Dubai. Chowking was high on taste and service while being light on the pocket, I would say fairly light on the pocket, a must visit for great Chinese food in Dubai.
